OVERVIEW
This position can be based out of San Francisco, New York, or remote (we accept candidates from many states).
The sales enablement lead’s primary responsibility is to ensure the sales team has the necessary content, training, coaching and support to carry out their job as effectively and efficiently as possible.
This includes providing foundational sales knowledge, industry expertise, and sales and technical skills. In this role you will be creating and implementing a systematic and scalable approach for onboarding, curriculum development, content development, training and analytics to enhance the sales team’s productivity and success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- With input from internal subject-matter-experts, product managers, and product marketing managers, build, maintain, and organize sales training and support program(s) for the sales organization.
- Understand and align goals and Sales Enablement metrics with the revenue team and the business overall.
- Create a clear Sales Enablement strategy that aligns with these goals and objectives.
- Design, build and implement the Account Executive and Payment Advisor development plan from onboarding, continuing education / development, certification program (demo / pitch certs.
etc) and manager development.
- Administer sales enablement software tools.
- Track and measure efficacy of training, tools and processes for the Sales team - provide recommendations and develop scalable ways to introduce new content and update existing trainings for ongoing improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of training.
- No management of people (initially).
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 4+ years in sales training and enablement, sales, go-to-market strategy, or some combination.
- Experience with Sales methodologies, processes, and enablement best practices such as customer journey, curriculum creation, and competency based program design.
- Appetite for the technical : you’ll jump right and learn how our products work.
- High ownership : you won’t be satisfied until every GtM function achieves their potential.
- Experience developing dynamic and engaging trainings for various audiences.
- Outstanding verbal and written communicator : you make the complex simple.
- Team oriented and collaborative.
- BA / BS required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience at a high growth Software-as-a-Service or technology company.
- Experience in providing sales enablement for technical API sales.
- Previous experience with B2B Sales.
- Familiarity with fintech solutions and specifically payments.
- Previous experience in a quota-carrying sales role.
- Previous experience building an enablement team from the ground up.
