R&D Engineer Extrusion Specialist

We are looking for an R&D Engineer with expertise in extrusion processes. In this role, you will be essential to advancing product development and process optimization efforts.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment, driving technical improvements and playing a key role in the research and development of both new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead process improvements to enhance the performance, efficiency, and quality of new and existing products.
  • Conduct R&D product trials to validate new concepts, modifications, and product enhancements.
  • Perform root cause analysis to diagnose issues and create forward-thinking solutions.
  • Train team members on updated and new processes, ensuring seamless implementation and operational excellence.
  • Research and source alternative materials and additives to support our sustainability goals in plastics manufacturing.
  • Manage the stage gate process for product launches, resin qualifications, and product extensions.
  • Develop detailed testing protocols, perform cost analysis, and deliver comprehensive reports on findings.
  • Supervise and mentor R&D technicians to ensure project success.
  • Utilize project management skills to oversee and execute multiple R&D initiatives on time.
  • Analyze large datasets, extracting insights to drive product innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing, with a focus on R&D and extrusion processes.
  • Hands-on experience with materials such as LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PET, mPE, EVA, PP, PHA, PLA, or similar.
  • Experience working with plastic additives such as UV stabilizers, plasticizers, processing aids, antioxidants, and colorants.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and timelines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for managing large datasets and turning insights into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a willingness to adapt and innovate.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in training and leading cross-functional teams.

The compensation mentioned represents the maximum amount for the base salary, including the 15% bonus.
