This position is based in NetApp U.S. Public Sector, Inc.’s office located in the Washington, D.C. metro area . The position is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for our geographically-distributed sales teams supporting our U.S. government customers.
  • Review, redline, and complete representations and certifications ( reps and certs ) and purchase order documentation for our U.S. government sales.
  • Draft, negotiate, and maintain contracts for the sale of commercial products and commercial services to U.S. government and related customers (e.

g., federal systems integrators, resale partners, hyperscalers), including master purchase agreements, end user terms, partner agreements, teaming agreements, NDAs, professional services agreements, statements of work, subcontract agreements, and SaaS agreements.

Identify contractual issues, including redlining of terms and conditions, that are problematic or inconsistent with playbooks and company processes.

Partner with sales teams to negotiate terms and conditions to facilitate sales.

  • Maintain and develop templates related to the sale of commercial products and commercial services to U.S. government customers, and maintain templates for flow down of terms to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Advise sales, finance, operations, and service delivery teams regarding compliance with contractual rights and obligations.
  • Assist with reviewing and determining viability of NetApp’s participation in RFQs, RFIs, and other solicitations, and contribute to proposal responses, reps and certs, and other certifications as necessary.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 10 years of legal experience, including at least five years in-house experience at a technology company or technology reseller, with considerable experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology contracts with U.

S. government customers. Proven ability to negotiate and manage from cradle to grave, large, commercial product and services agreements.

  • Keen attention to detail and exceptional time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing requests while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of the public sector procurement laws, regulations, and procedures in the U.S. including FAR, DFARS, and other agency-specific supplemental clauses.

Strong background with all types of public sector buying vehicles (GSA, SEWP, agency-specific IDIQs and BPAs, etc.).

  • Experience working with classified contracting.
  • Experience with state and local government contracting.
  • Experience with contract reporting requirements.
  • Project management experience.

Work Location

This position is based in NetApp U.S. Public Sector, Inc.’s office located in the Washington, D.C. metro area . The position is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is 175,000 - 195,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education.

Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.

This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and / or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
