Job Description :
The Senior Project Manager will manage a portfolio of public works projects with varying scopes and development responsibilities within the Multimodal Program to accomplish the purpose of each project as scheduled and within budget from inception to completion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Facilitating and fostering communication with team members, public town officials, MaineDOT management, and other stakeholder groups in order to discuss on-going project issues and resolve problems,
- Actively monitoring scope, schedule, and budget of each project, and recommend correction action as needed,
- Overseeing and providing guidance to public officials and private businesses which have entered into agreement with the MaineDOT to develop local or business-related project, and,
- Ensuring project conformance with MaineDOT standards and policies.
This position will be responsible for organizing and presenting projects for presentation as part of the MaineDOT's public involvement process.
The position may supervise other members of the team and will report directly to the Assistant Multimodal Program Manager.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience :
Registered as a Professional Engineer and at least one (1) year of project management experience at the professional level -OR- 12 years of technical engineering experience with at least three years of project management experience.
