Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for a Certified Long Term PE Teacher Substituteto work in a school setting in Chicago, IL working through June.
7th, 2024 Candidates will help build and enhance the self-image of the students with positive reinforcement and successful school experiences.
Pay Rate : $40 / hr

Job Duties :
- Developing Lesson Plans : Create and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to students' age and skill levels.
- Teaching Fundamental Skills : Instruct students on various physical activities, sports, and exercises to develop their fundamental motor skills, coordination, and fitness.
- Promoting Health and Wellness : Educate students on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being.
- Organizing Sports and Activities : Plan and oversee sports events, tournaments, and other physical activities to encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
- Assessing and Evaluating Performance : Evaluate students' progress in physical activities and provide constructive feedback.
Conduct assessments and report on students' physical development.
Ensuring Safety : Prioritize the safety of students during physical activities, ensuring that proper equipment and facilities are used.
Teach and enforce safety guidelines.
- Adapting to Diverse Needs : Accommodate the needs of students with varying abilities and interests, fostering an inclusive environment for all.
- Supervising and Managing Classes : Maintain discipline and order during PE classes. Effectively manage the classroom environment to maximize student engagement.
- Collaborating with Other Educators : Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and staff to integrate physical education into the overall school curriculum and promote a holistic approach to education.
- Communication with Parents : Keep parents informed about their child's progress in physical education, discussing achievements and addressing any concerns.
- Professional Development : Stay updated on trends and advancements in physical education. Attend workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications :
- 1+ years of experience working in a school setting
- Bachelor's Degree
- Candidates need to be certified by the state of IL
