About the Role :
We are seeking a Substation Construction Manager to oversee the construction of substations for utility-scale solar projects.
The role requires onsite work and travel between projects (per diem included). The first project, located in Waco, TX , will run for approximately 7 months .
The following project will probably be in Texas as well but candidates need to flexible. We need a road warrior!
Responsibilities :
- Manage all aspects of substation construction for utility-scale solar projects.
- Ensure real-time project progress updates using P6 or MS Project .
- Monitor and report on project financials to meet budgetary and timeline expectations.
- Supervise on-site teams, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA-30 standards.
- Utilize ProCore for construction management and documentation.
- Ensure projects meet Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance requirements.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience managing substation construction for renewable energy projects.
- Experience in BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) construction is preferred.
- Strong background in electrical works and construction.
- Proficient in P6 or MS Project .
- Ability to manage project financials and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- OSHA-30 certified.
- ProCore experience.
Pay range and compensation package :
$140k annual salary plus health benefits.
Travel and per diem covered.
