WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible for monitoring merchandise received and shipped from the facility, i.e., shortages as well as overages
- Create shipping / receiving documents; to include Pick Lists, Putaway Lists, Load Sheets, BOLs, and Packing Slips
- Responsible for logging in system inbound and outbound discrepancies, such as wrong product, incorrect quantity, and damages
- Prepare routine reports and file shipping receiving documents.
- Effectively communicate with Front Office clerk when needing to order office supplies
- Limits access to receiving / loading dock by unauthorized individuals
- Work in tandem with various departments and maintain a flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps to achieve organizational goals
- Coordinate damaged and defective products and make sure that it is accounted and handled properly
- Open bales, crates, and other containers
- Help with inventory control by recording amounts of items received or distributed using a computer system
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Wear the proper safety equipment
- Organize warehouse and work area
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 5 years experience of Shipping / Receiving Office Clerk responsibilities
- Good communication, organization, time management, and basic mathematical skills
- Dependable and Reliable
- Inventory, equipment operator certification, data entry, and computer skills may be required
- Experience working with a variety of WMS Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Operational experience is preferred
- Understanding and knowledge of SAP ERP / MRP, Warehouse management systems, SAP, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly lift or move objects 10-50lbs
- Occasionally lift or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a team
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
