You'll work closely with the Controller and manage a small team of accounting clerks.

They prefer to be together onsite, but there's certainly flexibility to work from home when life situations demand it.
Responsibilities
- Month-end close processes including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis
- Manage Accounts Payable process and staff
- Collaborate with operating departments to ensure accounting procedures are updated for changes in the business
- Perform financial statement analysis and discuss with management
- Ensure accounting policies, procedures and controls are maintained and updated as needed
- Compliance and regulatory responsibilities in support of audits, tax returns, and other requirements
- Research technical accounting guidance and document application to the business
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting, supporting the Controller and CFO as needed
- Drive continual process improvement and efficiency, participate in special projects and system implementations as needed
Education
- bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA preferred, but not required
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive, general ledger accounting experience
- prior experience with supervising others is highly preferred
