Industrial Engineer Supervisor
Description
- Manage Industrial Engineers (IEs) at Vandalia engineering center, Troy headquarters, Queretaro technical center, and Matamoros operations
- Plan, manage and organize complex projects, resources, schedules, etc. to meet customer project imperatives
- Drive the IEs to follow the Product Development Process (PDP) and flawless project execution including but not limited to the facilitation and management of MSD workshops
- Lead, mentor, and coach IE team while developing and maintaining high employee involvement and morale across the team
- Effectively interface with Inteva team members and internal customers on a regular basis
- Support cost reduction initiatives
- Establish best practices and standardize procedures, documentation and processes throughout IE organization
- Lead and support cost estimates in support of new business pursuit
- Ensure assembly fixtures and tools are designed and delivered on time and meet the requirements for quality, safety, ergonomics, and cycle time
- Lead the implementation of Lean throughout the organization
- Lead standardization of the MSD process throughout organization
- Support corporate strategies as appropriate
Position Requirements
REQUIRED
- Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction
- High degree of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- Proven track record of leadership capabilities, analytical ability, problem solving skills, and oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment as an active team member, group facilitator, and leader
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding situation
- Knowledge of the Inteva MSD process, interiors manufacturing, and assembly
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power P
REFERRED
- Minimum of (5) years in automotive industry or industrial / manufacturing engineering
- Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment
- Operations experience
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Bilingual / Spanish speaking (not required but a plus)
