Team Overview :
A specialized category of training within GAF’s Center for the Advancement of Roofing Excellence (CARE), Storm Restoration training focuses on educating contractors working insurance claims.
A CARE Training Manager works with Marketing, Sales, and other CARE trainers to provide both training and insight on Storm Restoration and the property insurance industry.
Summary :
A Senior Storm Restoration CARE Trainer will drive world class learning & development initiatives for both internal talent and GAF’s external customers.
The overall focus is leading both in person and virtual CARE training events including facilitation of training provided by third party training partners.
A CARE Trainer is responsible for presentation development and curriculum development focused on Storm Restoration and Insurance claims.
Essential Duties :
- Develop and deliver storm restoration training curriculum to external customers, sales staff, and other trainers
- Provide insurance industry expertise and input across the organization to help shape storm restoration focused products, services, and training programs
- Work cross-functionally to define and measure the impact of technical training and process improvements across the organization
- Content curator - works as a liaison across outside training partners to identify learning opportunities and to onboard new training initiatives and partners.
- Storm Restoration Training compliance - ensure all storm restoration training is current and in compliance with GAF’s goals and objectives.
- Capability lead of training resources for storm restoration, such as Xactimate, Symbility, state specific insurance guidelines, and building codes
- Maintain industry certifications and licenses
Under This Roof, We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, architecture, construction project management, computer science, education, or other related field
- Minimum of 8 yrs applicable experience in property claims adjusting or storm restoration industry
- Verisk Estimating Solutions Experience (Xactimate)
- Deep technical knowledge of roofing, insurance claims, and estimating
- Outstanding verbal and written interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence others, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Operates effectively in an ambiguous environment and has a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects and driving them to completion.
- Must have the ability to communicate and present in front of large groups.
- Willingness to work alone and be unsupervised.
- Operates from a remote office, without daily direct supervision, self-schedules and self-motivated.
- Ability to travel 50-70%.
