The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be developing and implementing quality assurance throughout the entirety of Precision's work flow operations.

This position is part of the Compliance department in Boca Raton, FL and will be located On-site.

You will be part of the Compliance team and report directly to the VP Compliance. This role involves overseeing maintenance of high standards of quality and compliance within all operational processes to ensure safety and effectiveness in the delivery of compounded medications.

In this role, you will have to opportunity to :

  • Quality Assurance Development : Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and processes throughout workflow operations.
  • Compliance Oversight : Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory standards and internal quality guidelines, maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
  • Training and Evaluation : Train staff on quality assurance practices and evaluate their performance to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Auditing and Monitoring : Conduct pre-shipping audits and regular quality assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure product quality.
  • Issue Management : Investigate quality-related incidents, such as medication errors and customer complaints, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Documentation Maintenance : Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including incident reports, corrective actions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Process Improvement Leadership : Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with management and staff to establish clear quality expectations and facilitate effective communication across all shifts.

The essential requirements of the job include :

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree : A degree in Pharmacy, Quality Assurance, Life Sciences, or a related field is typically required.

Experience :

Relevant Experience : Previous experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a related role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Attention to Detail : Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of quality assurance.
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions for quality improvement.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with management and staff.
  • Problem-Solving Ability : Strong skills in investigating issues and developing corrective and preventive actions.

Knowledge :

Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, USP) related to pharmaceuticals and compounded medications.

Quality Management Systems : Understanding of quality management principles and tools used in pharmaceutical settings.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in Software : Familiarity with quality management software and tools for data analysis and record-keeping.

Personal Attributes :

  • Proactive Mindset : Initiative to identify issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

Additional Educational Qualifications :

Advanced Degree : A Master's degree in Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.

Relevant Certifications :

Quality Assurance Certification : Certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional (CPGP) can be beneficial.

Experience :

Leadership Experience : Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within quality assurance or pharmacy operations.

Specialized Knowledge :

Knowledge of Specific Regulations : Familiarity with international quality standards, such as ISO or ICH guidelines.

Technical Skills :

Data Analysis Tools : Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, SAS) for quality control purposes.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills : Ability to build relationships across different teams and levels within the organization.
  • Adaptability : Comfort with change and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Project Management Skills :

Experience in Project Management : Skills in managing quality improvement projects or initiatives.

Process Improvement Methodologies :

Lean / Six Sigma Training : Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
