Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.

The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.All nursing care functions / responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.

Staff is required to maintain a level of physical / mental health needed to perform their duties effectively.Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics and St.

Mary’s Healthcare Center’s Mission and Service Excellence Standards.Education and / or ExperienceGraduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota.

Participates in educational opportunities and updates / maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in E.R.Trauma Nurse Core Course is required within 1 year in E.

R.PALS is required by one year of employment in E.R.Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.

Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment.Certification requirements to be maintained while working in the department.

Licensure / Certification / RegistrationCurrent licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure.

Work ScheduleMonday - Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeksRotate between day and night shiftsEvery other weekendEvery other holidayPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
