Description
Summary :
Provides care under supervision of physician or registerednurses for clinic patients, according to established standards andpractices.
Performs various lab procedures when necessary and inaccordance with competency.
Responsibilities :
- Meets expectations of the applicableOneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, orLeader of Leaders.
- Under the direction of thephysician; performs basic patient care duties including, but notlimited to, obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, andcollecting specimens including phlebotomy (specific to site).
Assists provider(s) in examination and treatment of patients andwith procedures. Assist with patient flow through theclinic.
- Answers phone / records phone messages,and assists provider(s) with patient relatedcalls.
- Assists in scheduling test appointment,results and pre-certification.
- Documents anyinformation related to patient.
- Assistsprovider(s) with medication refills.
- Administers medications / immunizations according to providerorder.
- Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Cleansequipment in accordance with policy. Orders stock supplies fromsupply department (specific to site maintains sterile technique andutilizes universal protocol.
- Performs routineclerical duties assigned, including but not limited to locatingpatient charts, filing and the completion of routineforms.
- Attends / completes required meetings andin-service training and performs other duties asassigned. Requirements :
