AGYAiken, SC Who are we? AGY is a highly specialized manufacturer of precision ultrafine glass fiber reinforcements used in advanced composites.
The Aiken, SC plant produces approximately 1,000,000 miles of glass fiber reinforcement per day and operates on a 24 / 7 / 365 schedule.
We are an agile, flexible, small-batch manufacturer able to meet the diverse technical requirements of our global client base.
Our engineers and scientists have reinvented ultrafine glass fiber reinforcement manufacturing with proprietary, eco-friendly processes.
Most notably, many of our production processes qualify as zero carbon footprint activities and the Aiken site has reduced its carbon footprint by 88% since 2002.
The Job In this role you will be directly responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining (new or existing) custom manufacturing execution software applications in support of our manufacturing / operational objectives.
This includes front and back end writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications, with an emphasis on back end support.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Works directly with all areas of the manufacturing organization to improve product quality and operational efficiencies.
Develop new applications that function as an integrated part of our Manufacturing Information Management System (MIMS); Includes working with stakeholders to develop functional requirements, design, analyze, debug and implementation of software code and supporting documentation.
Review, analyze, and modify existing MIMS programming including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment, in support of new or improve functionalities of existing application systems.
Provide first level support of MIMS including day to day troubleshooting and removal of operational roadblocks.Support and maintain cloud-based systems (AWS and Azure).

Qualifications
You are a good fit if You are / have : 5+ years’ experience with manufacturing application development and augmentation.
Bachelor’s degree in computer programming or related field is preferred or equivalent experience accepted. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Experience with Manufacturing. Project management experience. Customer Service Required Skills
