Position Summary
To Lead the job, supervise and train other technicians to service and install of high-end communication, cable infrastructures and enhance jobsite productivity.
Help build out technology systems which encompass voice, data, and video over copper, fiber optics and wireless cabling.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work off ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.
- Able to read construction print and other job-related documentation
- Provide physical labor to install voice, data and video cabling.
- Read, understand and follow the company policies and procedures.
- Able to work with basic hand tools i.e.; screw driver, electric drill, etc.
- Perform site clean-up.
Requirements
- Must have physical stamina sufficient to perform construction type work such as : lifting and carrying approximately 100 pounds, bending, stooping, pulling, climbing in and around construction equipment, up and down ladders and in and out of ditches.
- Able to lead and motivate crew
- Follow direction, written or verbal, from supervisors.
- Must have working knowledge of BICSI standards and installation methods of information transport media, such as : Copper data cable termination and testing Fiber optic termination and testing Coax termination and testing Wireless installation A / V systems Access control and CCTV
- Ability to work long hours.
- Be safety conscious and abide by company safety policies.
- Attend all scheduled work-related training.
- Oral and written skills and ability to communicate with other workers, craftsman, and other trades.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel out of town during the week and / or weekends.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass drug test anytime as requested by employer.
- Workers must be punctual and reliable.
- May need to travel out of town when required.
- Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Must have a desire to learn and grow in a career.
- Will be required to have certain tools to perform job.
