Client Accounting Manager

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

• Client Management :
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing their accounting and tax needs with professionalism and expertise.
• Provide innovative tax planning and consulting to optimize clients' financial strategies.
• Accounting and Tax Supervision :
• Supervise and coordinate the monthly accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review business and personal tax returns, including, but not limited to, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, and 1040s (including Schedule C).
• Manage tax provision and compliance processes, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks proactively.
• Team Leadership :
• Lead and mentor the accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in accounting processes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or EA license preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in accounting, tax, and compliance.
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office.
• Exceptional client service skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU :

This position is available in our Durham office with opportunities to work remotely 1-2 days per week after 90 days of employment.

We service our clients from 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. EST every business day. We are tech-forward and process-driven, so there are no endless late nights! We have systems in place for providing exemplary client service that allows our team scheduling flexibility and balance.
