Our company invites applications for the Sr. Research Scientist / Principal Scientist position, Dermal Clinical Research, Personal Care / Skin Health based in our Piscataway, New Jersey location.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate internal and external clinical studies.
- Monitor the conduct of external clinical studies (travel required as needed).
- Identify and help develop new innovative clinical methods to explore new technical leads, active ingredients and product claims substantiation.
- Work with cross-functional project teams (Product Development, Implementation & Support, Research & Implementation, Safety, Regulatory, Legal, Marketing) to review concepts / claims trackers and develop robust clinical programs to support Personal Care, Skin Health products.
- Identify and help validate new clinical labs to meet increasing Regulatory demands.
- Keep current of science and instrumentation relevant to clinical research through literature, scientific meetings and consultants.
- Serve as a resource for expertise in clinical design, bio-instrumentation and data interpretation.
- Prepare journal manuscripts along with scientific posters / presentations for industry meetings.
- Assist with administrative tasks (request of study agreements, processing invoices, etc).
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in an area of Science; biology, chemistry).
- 3 - 4 years of functional experience required (combination of industry and advanced degree or lab research acceptable).
- Moderate experience in clinical research (study design and / or execution, clinical methodologies, bio-instrumentation) with Personal Care / Skin Health cosmetic products
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Understanding of statistical methods to design / interpret clinical data preferred.
- Able to multi-task and manage projects independently.
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
- Experience with peer-reviewed journal publications.
- Strong management skills.
- Innovative & strategic.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $128,000.00 - $144.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office / market location.
In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and / or Stock Options.
