JOB SUMMARY :

Plans, directs, and coordinatesmanufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies :

Implementing cost-effectiveequipment modification to help improve throughput.

Solves complex problems withmanufacturing, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.

Identifies opportunities for costand manpower reductions through assembly configuration and improvement.

Drive incorporation of technicaladvancements into manufacturing process and technology employed in themanufacturing of existing products.

Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, andworkflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.

Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design andtooling to ensure efficient production methods.

Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange forpurchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluated products according tospecifications and quality standards.

Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs toprovide information for management decisions.

Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regardingmanufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations tofacilitate production processes.

Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirementsand potential.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $81,$120, annually

Qualifications

OTHER COMPETENCIES : Language Skills :

Language Skills :

Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, andprocedure manuals.

Ability to writeroutine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees oforganization.

Mathematical Skills :

Ability to calculate figures andamounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,area, circumference, and volume.

Abilityto apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability :

Ability to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagramform. Ability to deal with problemsinvolving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully,an individual should have knowledge of Design software and Manufacturingsoftware.

Education and / or Experience :

Bachelor’s degree from a four-yearcollege / university in engineering discipline or 10 plus years of experience inmanufacturing engineering.

Aerospaceindustry experience is a plus.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required tostand.

The employee is occasionallyrequired to walk. The employee mustoccasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision and color vision.
