Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in our construction business operations, managing all financial aspects of our property portfolio.
This position requires an individual who is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a specific focus on property accounting in the construction industry.
Responsibilities :
As a Senior Property Accountant, your main responsibilities will include :
1. Overseeing all financial operations related to our property portfolio, including AP, AR, reconciliations, collections, and forecasts.
2. Preparing and posting accurate journal entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
3. Utilizing Kardin software for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
4. Conducting regular variance analyses to identify discrepancies and potential financial issues.
5. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, providing clear insights into property performance and financial status.
6. Coordinating with other departments to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
8. Assisting with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
To be considered for the Senior Property Accountant position, you must possess the following qualifications :
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in Kardin software and other accounting software.
4. Extensive knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, collections, and forecasts.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare reports.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
