Job Overview :
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is engaged in a search for a dynamic and experienced Nursing Director - Patient Services to join our partner, a leading Level II medical center in Detroit, MI.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire a high-performing nursing team while ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all patient services within the nursing department.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement policies, procedures, and best practices that promote patient safety, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation for nursing services.
- Foster an environment that supports professional growth, development, and retention of nursing staff.
- Ensure quality patient outcomes through continuous assessment and improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a mentor and leader to both clinical and administrative nursing staff.
Qualifications - External :
- Master's Degree required in Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field. (At least one degree must be in Nursing.)
- Licensure : Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
- Experience :
- A minimum of three to five years of experience, which may include concurrent clinical and / or progressively responsible management experience.
- Proven leadership skills and a strong ability to manage nursing teams in a hospital or healthcare environment.
