Sangre de Cristo Community Care is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team in Pueblo, Colorado.
Sangre de Cristo Community Care is the Southern Colorado leader in enhancing the quality of life and maintaining the integrity of individuals and their families needing supportive or end-of-life services by offering symptom management, support, comfort, and compassion.
This position will assist the controller in completing all appropriate activities associated with managing the general ledger and financial transactions and data for all Sangre de Cristo Community Care entities (hospice, palliative, and home health).

Requirements :
1. Associate accounting degree from a recognized college or university or two to five years of accounting experience. (healthcare experience preferred)
2. Familiar with general accounting operations to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end closing processes, preparation of financial statements.
3. Experience with GAAP accrual accounting.
4. Proficient in MSOffice Suite with emphasis in Excel (Test to be passed before interview)
5. Must be able to type at or above 36 WPM (Test to be passed before interview)
6. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient and employee information, to ensure privacy and HIPAA compliance.
7. Valid Colorado Driver’s License with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 36 months
8. Valid automobile insurance that meets minimum state law coverage limits
9. Ability to pass drug test and background check.
10. Ability to comply with annual influenza vaccination requirements.
