We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Supervisor like you to be a part of our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES :
The Patient Access Supervisor is a working supervisor responsible for assisting the Patient Access Manager as needed for leading daily operations.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
- Trains / orients, and supervises departmental personnel. Responsible for work assignment and daily operations.
- May assist with selection / hiring, evaluating performance and recommending pay increases, promotions, or disciplinary action.
- Assist with preparing payroll and completes monthly work schedules.
- Perform evaluations in a timely manner.
- Reviews the quality of patient registration / scheduling on a daily basis.
- Maintain QA statistics and reports.
- Resolves problems to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Monitors and controls Patient Access expenditures to remain within budget.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality and privacy.
- Performs related work as required.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement .
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
This position requires the following minimum requirements :
- Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of health care administration practices.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in researching, preparing, and presenting comprehensive reports.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem 1 solving expertise.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, public, external agencies.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
- Patient Access experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 years management experience in a medical office setting.
