Impact Housing (IH) is a Southern California, mission-driven company that designs and develops. builds, and activates unsubsidized housing for low- and moderate- income households.

Utilizing the efficiencies of off-site construction and modular design, IH is rapidly growing and developing workforce housing in San Diego and Los Angeles.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge and experience in the trade. We're looking for people to lead in one of the two phases of the construction process.

Either "Phase One" which is everything from foundation through drywall or "Phase Two" which is everything past the drywall to completion of the home.

POSITION REQUIREMENTSEssential skills

• Knowing and understanding blueprints, building plans and specifications
• Framing floors, walls, roofs, and decks
• Install sub-flooring and
• Installing mechanical, electrical & plumbing rough & finish materials
• Installing windows and exterior doors
• Excavations on small foundations and pads (a plus)
• Form and pour small foundations and pads (a plus)
• Clean and inspect work
• Supervise all work done by subs and internal
• Essential skills for phase two (finish) :
• Knowing and understanding blueprints, building plans and specifications
• Install hardware on doors, windows, and
• Patch and texture drywall
• Caulking and touching up
• Installing cabinetry, millwork, and interior doors
• Finish plumbing & electrical
• Install and connect
• Clean and inspect work
• Supervise all work done by subs and internal

Education :

High School Diploma preferred but not

Duties and Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw and
• Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites
• Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds
• Knowledge of lumber grades, hardware, rough & finish materials

Required Skills / Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions from Supervisor and Senior Managers
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
• Ability to use hand tools and power
• Good hand-eye coordination

• Home improvement, construction, finish carpentry, and site planning experience preferred.
