Located in North Hollywood, CA, Avibank Manufacturing, Inc., a PCC Company, a part of the Engineered Products Group, is among the world's leading manufacturers specializing in the design and production of sophisticated fasteners and multi-component fastening systems and devices, solving difficult engineering and critical performance problems.

Position Summary :

The Planner Level 2 under supervision uses independent judgement to respond to MRP messaging in support of the build plan and customer requirements by releasing production orders to manufacturing within an established schedule.

Work cross-functionally with other Supply Chain functions to ensure alignment of the plan with execution. Must make planning decisions always with the company’s inventory goals in mind to support profitability of the company.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders, work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
• Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, and frequency of defects.

Checks and verifies results against standard production rates.

• Plans and follows schedules of workflow and operations in support of the product line build plan to prioritize weekly machine schedules.
• Works to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times, but collaborates with the lead planner when those appear to need updating.
• Clears difficulties that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Initiates component and assembly orders.
• Creates re-work orders as needed.
• Partners with manufacturing leads to ensure proper coordination between the groups.
• Maintains / updates dispatch priorities daily.
• Sorts and distributes work orders or material to workers and / or production supervisors.
• Provides current status and projected completion dates to interested parties.
• Directly handles and responds to MRP / ERP system production control messages.
• Manages inventory levels for critical production operations.
• Validates internal and external operation lead times against current standards.
• Problem-solves and coordinates planning prioritization and issues with Operations Leadership and Sales Department.
• Responsible for capacity planning for assigned product line, including troubleshooting parameter challenges (lead times / lot sizes).
• Part of SIOP process for designated product line.

Required Skills :

• Strong knowledge of ERP / MRP Systems is required.
• Experience with SyteLine is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Required Experience :

• Microsoft experience with Intermediate to Advanced Excel level knowledge.
• 5-7 years of experience in Manufacturing Planning.
• Aerospace industry experience preferred.
• CPIM or ASCM (APICS) courses preferred.

Level of Education :

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• CPIM or CSCP designation a plus.
