Regional Field Service Manager
Location : Boston, MA
Business Unit : Service
The New England and Hudson Regional Service Manager oversees the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of dental, radiography, and associated equipment for Benco customers in their region.
The Regional Service Manager will ensure compliance to customer specifications and company requirements and that all functions are completed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate must be willing to travel throughout MA, NY, CT, RI, ME, VT, and NH.
The Role We Are Looking To Fill :
- Attends service calls, coordinates projects and installations
- Works with Regional Sales Manager in achieving the regional labor sales goal
- Manages, coaches and evaluates the performance of regional service / installation technicians
- Effectively keeps track of the installation schedule and acts as appropriate
- Assists the Regional Sales Manager with managing the inventories of the showroom and warehouse (DSI)
- Co-travels with service technicians to evaluate and improve their performance, and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Works professionally with customers and Benco associates to ensure high customer service satisfaction levels
- Assists technicians in meeting labor and productivity goals and customer satisfaction goals
- Addresses associate safety / driver issues in a timely manner
- Certifies compliance of regional van inventories are below the maximum allotted amount conducting inventories in each van twice yearly
- Coordinates and conducts regularly scheduled meetings with all regional personnel
- Hold service technician accountable to wear radiation monitoring badges during work hours; ensures techs download badge information in a timely manner
- Responsible for service technician compliance with time and attendance reporting; ensures Tech paid time reflects assigned work
The ideal candidate will possess :
- Associates degree in Business or BioMed Technology or equivalent education / experience
- 5 years experience in a service industry; Core and Technology experience preferred
- Previous management experience required
- Computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office is required
- Exceptional customer service, planning, and problem solving skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record required
- Carpentry / plumbing / heating / electricity / electronics / pneumatic / hydraulic related experience required
- Computer and networking experience required
- Field repair in a dental / medical environment preferred
- Technical schooling in Bio-med / electronics or related technical field preferred
Physical Requirements :
- Routine walking, bending, kneeling, and squatting, sitting, standing, reaching, and twisting
- Must frequently lift / lower / carry / push / pull 1 to 55 pounds, occasionally lift / lower / carry / push / pull 56 to 100 pounds
- Position requires routine pushing, pulling, grasping and manual dexterity in the use of hands, arms and shoulders
- Able to work in tight spaces
- Frequent travel to customer sites (daily) and occasional use of power tools
