Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and monitor student services.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments.
- Review assessment data and prepare reports.
- Collaborate with students families staff and agencies todevelop individualized education and behavior interventionplans.
- Work with District staff to determineappropriate placement for eligible special educationstudents.
- Provide mental health services tostudents through daily checkins and small group or individualbehavior support.
- Perform threat assessmentsregarding threats of selfharm harm to others or suicide; monitorand provide direct services according to safety and supportplans.
- Conduct academic screenings andassessments to place students in appropriate programs.
- Consult and coordinate with other District and schoolstaff to promote engagement and motivate students.
- Attend and participate in continuing education tomaintain certifications and stay updated on current trends anddevelopments in child psychology.
- Performother duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in Educational Psychology orrelated field
- Knowledge of applicable FederalState and local laws codes ordinances and regulations.
- Understanding of Individuals with Disabilities EducationAct (IDEA) regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of mental health assessments diagnosis andtreatment methods.
- Proficiency in interventiontechniques.
