Responsibilities
Assistant Human Resources Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Assist with plant hiring, terminations, disciplines, payroll and records keeping
- Maintain the training programs, insurance policies, company benefits
- Be able to handle all administrative actions in HR- i.e. Kronos, Payroll, Attendance policy / bonus, benefits, newsletter and other policies
- Maintain company Vacations, daily reports, monthly reports, quarterly reports
- Manage other projects needed by Human Resource Manager
- Present write ups for attendance, tardiness and performance issues if necessary
- Ensure compliance with Agency, State and Federal policies, procedures and regulations
- Provide guidance / assistance to employees and supervisors on HR policies
- Confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA
- Knowledge in our CBA and maintain a good working relationship with Union representative(s)
- Other duties as assigned
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates for the Assistant Human Resources Manager Position should possess the following :
- Preferred bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, but not required
- 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in the food distribution or warehouse industry
- Knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)and HR software (e.g., iCIMS, UKG, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Basic office and math skills
- Bilingual preferred but not required
- Familiarity with National Beef Liberal facility and company policies preferred
