OT on a Exempt Contract Contingent Basis located CONUS - Ten (10) States : Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming Across The Mid West Region supporting a federal agency within the Dept of Defense whose geo area encompasses a vast geographic region that includes all or parts of ten states : Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming to provide critical engineering services to strengthen national security, support economic growth, and mitigate disaster risks focusing on flood management, environmental restoration, and military construction across the Missouri River Basin.
The USACE NWO mission is to deliver vital engineering solutions, in collaboration with partners, to secure the nation, energize the economy, and reduce disaster risks by focusing on a diverse array of missions, including flood risk management, navigation, hydropower, environmental restoration, and regulatory oversight.
Seeking Safety and Health Manager (SHM) candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE.
This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.
JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (Safety and Health Manager (SHM)) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) U.
S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Generally Located In CONUS - Ten (10) States : Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and across the Mid West Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Safety and Health Manager (SHM) Environmental Management USACE004009
Serve as a member of The Engagement Team as "Key Management Personnel" and work to develop and implement safety programs;
conduct risk assessments; ensure compliance with safety regulations. The Safety and Health Manager (SHM) shall be a full-time (FT) W-2 Employee of ProSidian Consulting (The Prime Contractor).
The Safety and Health Manager (SHM) shall possess the authority to shut down the site work if / when Health and Safety becomes an issue.
The Safety and Health Manager (SHM) shall enlist the support of safety and occupational health professionals with appropriate education and experience when working on sites with multiple (chemical, safety, ionizing radiation) hazards.
The Safety and Health Manager (SHM) shall be responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing the implementation of the Site Health and Safety Plan, visiting the project site as needed to audit the effectiveness of The Accident Prevention Plan (APP) / Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP), remaining available for project emergencies, evaluating occupational exposure and monitoring data that impacts The Accident Prevention Plan (APP) / Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) requirements.
The Safety and Health Manager (SHM), dependent upon the contaminant-related hazards on the project, shall be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health Physicist (CHP).
If the project involves radioactive material, the task order RFP will identify any specific requirements. Safety and Health Professionals : In accordance with the US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1, current version, which can be found online at http : / / publications.

Qualifications
Desired Qualifications For Safety and Health Manager (SHM) Environmental Management USACE004009 ( USACE004009 ) Candidates :
Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards; environmental health and safety practices.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
7+ years in safety management, certifications such as CSP preferred. Bachelor's in Occupational Health and Safety. The Safety and Health Manager (SHM) shall be a Key Management Personnel designate and shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing safety and occupational health at hazardous waste site cleanup (or radioactive waste sites, if necessary) operations.
Skills Required
Skills Required : Risk assessment, safety program development, regulatory compliance, training. Professional Licensure : CSP (Certified Safety Professional) required.
Competencies Required
Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program). Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
Ancillary Details Of The Roles
Permits / Licenses : Team ProSidian shall obtain permits and licenses necessary to conduct the work required by this contract, including, but not limited to, environmental permits, building permits, discharge permits, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) or state licenses for radiation activities, and Department of Transportation (DOT) permits for transport of Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) and Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) on public highways.
Team ProSidian shall comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, including Technical Bulletin TB 700-2, Department Of Defense Ammunition And Explosives Hazard Classification Procedures, when transporting MEC.
Rights of entry on and off Government property may be required.
