- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience designing control panels per UL 508A requirements.
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Control Panel Design Engineer to support several Pharmaceutical clients in San Diego, CA.
Your day to day responsibilities will include :
- Design control panels, considering layout, power distribution, and component placement.
- Select appropriate enclosures based on environmental conditions and safety requirements.
- Choose suitable breakers and fuses to protect circuits.
- Specify I / O devices and sensors for process control.
- Create loop drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Configure VFDs for motor control applications.
- Ensure compliance with UL 508A standards.
- Maintain and update relational databases related to control panel designs.
