We have a wonderful opportunity for a

  • Facilities Maintenance Tech
  • within our Facilities and Engineering Department at Bloodworks NW! The incumbent will be responsible for providing specialized skills and expertise with repair, maintenance, and construction duties in our multiple regulated 24 / 7 healthcare and laboratory facilities.

Operate efficiently and with minimal supervision. Assist other maintenance staff, engineers, and Facilities staff throughout the Puget Sound region.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to : Use critical thinking, problem-solving, and appropriate independent judgment to provide skilled repair.

Guide Maintenance staff by structuring assignments according to department priorities, and skills of staff, and through the use of the automated work order system.

Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and a variety of plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and water heaters.

Paint facilities and equipment; prepare surfaces for painting; apply paint to building interiors, fixtures, equipment, or exterior;

strip, paint, or stain cabinets, doors, and woodwork.Install, modify, and repair modular office furniture; move office furniture, equipment, and supplies from one location to another.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks including roof systems, vehicle checks, filter changes, and building rounds.Troubleshoot repairs and alterations of doors and fixtures within our building facilities to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Requisition supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.Communicate with the vendor to schedule repairs, greet, and assist while repairs are in process.
