Bayou Bluegrass Catering is a local catering company located near campus off South Broadway. We provide catering to many different types of events such as weddings, greek life formals, corporate tailgates, graduations, and private parties.

We also oversee operations for three venues here in Lexington, KY : Copper Roux, Round Barn Stable of Memories, and Limestone Hall.

We believe that food is one of the most important parts of any event.

Overview :

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Event Servers to join our team. As an Event Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring that events run smoothly.

You will be responsible for providing high-quality service to guests, assisting with event setup and teardown, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities :

Guest Service : Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude. Address guest inquiries and needs promptly and courteously.

Food and Beverage Service : Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure that all items are presented attractively and per event specifications.

Setup and Teardown : Assist with the setup and teardown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and linens as well as setting up buffet stations or serving areas.

Cleanliness : Maintain cleanliness and organization of the event space, including clearing tables, cleaning spills, and disposing of waste properly.

Team Collaboration : Work closely with other event staff, including kitchen and bar personnel, to ensure a seamless event experience.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Compliance : Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Appearance : Professional and well-groomed appearance. Adherence to uniform and dress code standards. Uniform shirts will be provided.

Flexibility : Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as events may occur outside of standard working hours.

Physical Requirements : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry heavy trays or equipment, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
