Responsibilities :
The primary purpose of the Billing Specialist position is to ensure accurate and timely processing of all patient and insurance billing, follow-up and correspondence for University Hospital.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED Certification required. Three (3) years of progressively more responsible clerical experience, one (1) year of which must have been in a physicians office, hospital billing office, or insurance company, which involved billing and collection or medical insurance activities.
Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred. Prior experience functioning in a computerized environment is required.
