The opportunity with NRC

We are looking for an experienced rail professional to join our team as an Asset Information Manager in Boston.

This role will see you lead on the delivery of asset management information advisory services in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, helping to grow our presence on the East Coast and North America as a whole.

Key Accountabilities

  • Defining asset information management policies for our clients to enable efficient asset management of their transit / railroad infrastructure.
  • Defining Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) configuration requirements to enable effective asset management reporting and management of maintenance work activities.
  • Developing EAMS training material for our clients to use to increase competence and maturity in the use of EAMS for asset and work management.
  • Coordinating the production of asset management strategies with multi-discipline engineers to align with the client’s overall business strategy.
  • Supporting our clients with requirements considerations and implementation strategies of new asset management information systems.
  • Developing asset data collection strategies and information requirements to enable our clients to keep their EAMS current.
  • Asset performance data analysis to support our clients with asset reliability improvement strategies and processes.
  • Data analysis to identify work management process improvement opportunities.
  • Effective presentation of data analysis and findings to our clients to inform decision-making.
  • Managing priorities and delivery of the project to exceed client expectations.
  • Developing and delivering assigned projects, on time, to budget and to other agreed success criteria.
  • Developing asset management and maintenance work management dashboards and reports for our clients.

Job Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience in transit / railroad asset management principles
  • Demonstrable experience in the implementation of and / or ongoing maintenance of Enterprise Asset Management Systems, preferably in a transit / railroad environment
  • Demonstrable expertise in the field of asset information and spatial data architecture
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing process improvements
  • Knowledge of transit / railroad asset policies and approaches to asset management desirable
  • Knowledge of transit / railroad infrastructure maintenance management processes desirable
  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • Proven experience using data analysis / reporting systems such as Tableau; Power BI, or similar
