We are seeking a Program Director for our Northern New Jersey Post Pandemic Workforce Training Initiative (NNJPPWTI). This person will manage the day-to-day implementation of a new grant-funded workforce training initiative to train local residents to set them on a career pathway in the region's fast-growing renewable energy / solar sector.
Example of Duties :
- Manage day-to-day implementation of the project to ensure accomplishment of objectives.
- Implement a comprehensive outreach, marketing, and recruitment plan to include a wide variety of activities and media.
- Coordinate intake, enrollment, orientation, and training activities for participants.
- Align wrap-around support services for program participants with workforce training to address barriers to participation.
- Supervise program staff.
- Support efforts related to regional collaboration and innovation clusters in the clean energy and related emerging sectors.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with other agencies, organizations, and employers to foster participant and program success.
- Effectively promote and communicate project goals to diverse partners.
- Develop a program handbook of policies and procedures for managing the grant.
- Effectively manage program budget; document and maintain records.
- Prepare required project reports.
- Ensure program activities comply with all funder regulations and requirements.
- Attend and participate in activities convened by the funder.
- Participate in all aspects of program evaluation, including the development of best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in managing educational, training, or workforce development programs or related transferrable experience.
- Proven ability to work with project and community stakeholders to develop and implement quality programs and services.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Previous experience working on a grant-funded project a plus.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as program requires.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
