Recruiting from Scratch is a talent firm that focuses on placing the best candidate for our clients. Our team is 100% remote and we work with teams across North America, South America, and Europe to help them hire.
Salary Range : $170,000-$200,000 base plus 0.5% - 0.8% equity.
As the first design hire, you will shape the interface that introduces millions of knowledge workers to AI and turn advancing AI capabilities products that people use every day.
You will get to work on the entire product experience from users signing up to becoming a power user.
We’re at an inflection point where AI reasoning and code generation capabilities make applications like analyzing data and visualizing information possible.
The interface for how humans will interact with these capabilities is nascent and you will get to define it. You will own design at a company that is tackling these challenges head-on, has proven traction, and a strong team.
What you will work on :
Our client is somewhat general purpose. Our main users are knowledge workers and they come in varying levels of technical know-how from financial analysts to scientists and researchers.
Building a product that serves users of varying levels of know what they’re doing is challenging but also very fulfilling.
- Design interfaces that introduce millions of knowledge workers to AI
- Own the entire product experience from a user signing up to becoming a power user
- Craft every detail of new product features, from idea to design to pixel-perfect execution to marketing
- Define the product's visual identity and interaction patterns
- Prototype and test new concepts in production
- Manage and shape brand identity
- We’re a startup so there’s a lot of schlep work. From designing marketing pages to optimizing conversion flows
Example challenges you will tackle early on in the role :
- New user experience without an onboarding flow. Users learn software by trying it. How do we make the company really easy to try and get more users to experience the magic of the company.
- Content Presentation inside the company. Threads in the company start with a file(s) + instruction and they end with some kind of a work product produced by the AI through some combination code execution, file manipulation and use of web search.
