New Day, Inc is looking for a Program Manage r to work in our Therapeutic Group Homes. This position involves overseeing the daily operation of a six to eight bed group home lodge for female youth ages 9 to 17 with mental health and behavioral challenges.

Due to State Requirements, the successful applicant will also be Female.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. The shift is 12pm-8pm; Friday-Tuesday, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

Due to the nature of our work, it is required that candidates be flexible. Each month requires one week of on-call coverage.

RESPONSIBLE TO : Residential Team Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES : The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the therapeutic youth group home(s), ensuring a safe and supportive environment for participants, and aligning program activities with the organization's mission and objectives.

This role involves supervising staff, coordinating with clinical teams, and providing therapeutic interventions as needed.

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

MAJOR FUNCTIONS :

Maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment within the assigned lodge.

Develop and prepare all weekly and monthly reports in coordination with the Lead Clinical, including any initial assessments and interim reports as needed.

Provide transportation for participants to and from medical clinics when needed for acute care.

Ensure adequate facilities, equipment, supplies, and other resources are available for program operation in conjunction with the Lead Youth Empowerment Specialist.

Collaborate with the Residential Team Lead and Lead Clinical Staff to ensure the correct exchange of information between the placing agency’s internal treatment team members and New Day treatment team members.

This includes ensuring that documentation from each party is included in the clinical record and that appropriate forms are filled out to meet the service needs of the youth.

Facilitate the transfer of clinical records in a confidential manner and provide clinical records, or portions thereof, to appropriate external agencies confidentially.

Train Youth Empowerment Specialists, ensuring their participation in all company training and coordinating their development, including check-ins during shadow shifts, coaching, training, and skill set enhancement, with a focus on safety, appropriate behavior, role modeling, and social / recreational creativity.

Conduct therapeutic interventions with residents under the supervision of lead clinical staff. Minimum of 75 minutes per youth per week.

Objectively chart assigned participant’s progress in DAP format.

Plan and organize weekend activities with approval from the Residential Team Lead.

Facilitate weekly treatment team meetings to provide input regarding youth and their needs within the treatment milieu.

Inventory and monitor participant medication counts, ensuring adherence to the medication policy by all staff.

Assume on-call duties during scheduled weeks.

Conduct performance reviews for all lodge-assigned Youth Empowerment Specialists.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and New Day, Inc. administration.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Under the direction of the Residential Team Lead, directly supervise staff employed as Youth Empowerment Specialists and the daily operations of the unit.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS : Familiarity with word processing and computer applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Email, and Cellphone applications.

Strong managerial and training skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and demonstrate diplomacy and tact.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree in a human service field or a minimum of 6 years of human services experience for those without a degree.

Preferred experience with seriously emotionally disturbed and chemically dependent populations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must maintain current certifications in Non-violent crisis intervention, CPR, and First Aid.

Must have a valid Montana driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. This position may require the use of safe, non-injurious physical interventions (in the scope of CPI training) to maintain safety.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is a non-smoking environment.
