Join Airgas as a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver, working under the guidance of the Branch Manager. In this role, you'll handle essential warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving, cylinder handling, stocking, occasional counter sales, and a back up route driver while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and Airgas policies.

As a key team member, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and supporting our customers.

• Warehouse / Handler Operations
• Stock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials and supplies
• Physically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse; conduct regular inventory checks
• Enforce policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, reviewing invoices
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Organize and oversee site warehouse inventory
• Strictly observe safety rules and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Backup Driver Responsibilities -
• Deliver compressed gas cylinders and liquid cylinders on a scheduled route to customers
• Load and unload trucks, retrieve empty cylinders, and return them for refilling
• Maintain accurate vehicle documentation and a professional appearance
• Organize and control inventoried items
• Assist with inventory management, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations
• Perform back-up duties as per the branch daily checklist
• Utilized computer system, occasionally place and process orders via AirGas.com / SAP system
• Assist customers with merchandise, load / unload cylinders as needed and occasionally lifting over 100 lbs
• Follow Company SOPs for distribution and safety
• Maintain site cleanliness and organization

Are you a MATCH?

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver' License with HAZMAT endorsement
• One year of verifiable experience driving similar commercial vehicles within the last five years or completion of an accredited truck driving school program.
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
• Able to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours, work overtime if needed.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Basic phone communication skills
• Assist customers with merchandise, load / unload cylinders as needed and occasionally lifting over 100 lbs
• Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds
• Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions are integral
• Occasionally, the employee will engage in activities like climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks such as tightening ratchet binders
• This role requires specific visual capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
