Senior Analyst, Loss Forecasting
Job Summary :
As a Senior Analyst, Loss Forecasting, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of my client by accurately predicting portfolio and charge-off risks.
You'll leverage your analytical skills and expertise in quantitative modeling to develop robust forecasts that align with our regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Data Management : Coordinate the collection, organization, and cleaning of internal data from various sources to support vendor CECL loss forecast models.
- Model Analysis : Evaluate and interpret the performance of quantitative models, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement.
- Reserve Recommendations : Provide expert guidance to executive management on CECL-based reserve amounts and appropriate qualitative adjustment factors.
- Documentation and Controls : Maintain comprehensive documentation for vendor model calibration efforts and implement robust controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of CECL reserve generation.
- Regulatory Compliance : Prepare responses to inquiries from reviewers and regulators, providing quantitative analysis as needed.
- Forecasting : Develop and present monthly CECL loss forecasts by segment to executive management, offering detailed analysis and rationale.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics).
- 5+ years of experience in credit analysis using SAS, Python, or similar analytical tools.
- Proven track record in credit card or consumer credit portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of fraud investigations, credit risk management, and credit bureau data.
- Experience in loan portfolio delinquency and charge-off analysis within a CECL framework.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
