Responsibilities :

• Manage a team of 5-7 Technical Project Managers, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and performance management
• Mentor and coach project managers to improve their project management skills and ensure they are aligned with PMO best practices and organizational goals
• Oversee multiple concurrent IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
• Work closely with project managers to track project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues
• Partner with the PMO Leader to oversee the execution of "mission critical" alternative energy initiatives that are essential to business growth and success
• Contribute to the development of project management methodologies, templates, and standards within the PMO
• Act as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular project updates and status reports
• Ensure clear communication and alignment between project teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements within the PMO to enhance project delivery, resource utilization, and overall team performance
• Support the development and maintenance of project governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards
• Support the PMO Leader in managing the PMO's budget and ensure resource allocation aligns with project and organizational priorities
• Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing resource allocation and project planning
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• PMP Certification
• Kaizer or Six Sigma Certified
• 10+ years of experience in project management , managing multiple projects concurrently
• 5+ years of experience managing project managers or teams directly
• Proven success in mentoring, coaching, and developing project managers
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage complex, large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools like MS Project, Jira, etc.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
• Familiarity with Alternative Energy or Government Relations projects are a plus
