WORK AREA(S) : BUS GARAGE
POSITION SUMMARY : This is skilled work at the experienced worker level in repairing body work and paint to District buses, vehicles and equipment.
An employee is a position allocated to this class performs skilled work in the application of standard trade practices. Work is performed under the direction and supervision of the assigned administrator and is subject to inspection.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : L-Light Work Required to push, pull or lift up to 40+ pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS : Indoors / Outdoors The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency diploma.
- Experience Three (3) years of verifiable paint and body experience.
- Computer Skills Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology, as required for the position. Certificates and / or Licenses Valid Florida CDL, Class B driver’s license or will obtain within thirty (30) workdays of employment.
Other Requirements Complete set of mechanic tools. Ability to operate a vehicle the size of a bus.
