Description :

This role is part of Client Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security.

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Client facilities.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will perform hands-on assembly and maintenance of cutting-edge rocket engine turbomachinery.

You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Turbopump assembly, disassembly, testing, and tool / fixture design.

You will also provide critical feedback to make improvements with respect to process control, capability, and repeatability.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Precision assembly of rocket engines

Detailed component inspection using calipers, micrometers, etc. to tolerances of

Coordinating hardware processing such as inspection, cleaning, and shipping

Hardware management under critical cleanliness requirements (liquid oxygen service)

Safely working with hazardous systems, containing chemicals and / or high pressure

Assist engineers in reviewing design concepts, providing feedback for improvements

Familiarity working with assembly fixture tooling

Review and follow work instructions for complex mechanical installations

Innovate to improve processes and increase efficiency of operations

Minimum Qualifications

years of experience with assembly of turbomachinery / propulsion systems, aircraft or automotive engines, or other highly technical machinery.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals / detailed work instructions.

Strong mechanical competence with the ability to use hand and power tools.

Ability to accurately use precision measurement and inspection tools

Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Physical Requirements :

Climb ladders & stairs and be able to lift up to lbs. for limited durations of time.

Preferred Qualifications

years’ experience in propulsion assembly, integration, and testing.

Associate degree in a technical field.

Knowledge of precision inspection equipment.

Experience with critical sealing surface requirements.

Experience with thread insert installation and thread tapping tools.

A&P license or equivalent experience in integration and test of propulsion systems.

Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts on flight hardware.

Experience with D measurement tools, such as Faro Arms / Trackers and Verisurf software.

Knowledge in the use of D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME standard.
