Our client is hiring a Southeast Business Development Manager
Essential Functions :
Meet and / or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for the clinical chemistry product line. These objectives will be achieved primarily by effectively implementing and managing the sales process including :
o Develop territory specific sales plans and forecast accurately
o Effectively manage time and territory
o Drive lead generation through distributors
o Manage leads from distributor reps through the sales process including qualifying, proposal generation, ROI analysis, customer objections
o Self-driven lead generation
o Prepare proposals and ROI analysis
o Perform product demonstrations when necessary
o Work effectively with internal staff to support sales goals
Build and maintain a strong distributor network, manage and drive distributor specialists’ relationships / sales within their territory to generate sales leads and promote Alfa Wassermann by :
o Developing and implementing a distributor sales plan to achieve sales objectives
o Conducting quarterly business reviews with distributor partners
o Providing product training for distributor reps
o Monitoring distributor performance and modifying tactics as needed
- Provide competitive pricing, product information, and market trends to sales management and marketing department.
- Submit accurate and timely weekly call reports, forecasts and other special reports to sales management as requested to optimize the effectiveness of driving sales activities.
- Submit all training documentation and expense reports in a timely fashion.
- Interface with distributors, sales representatives, field service, and the Customer Solution Center to ensure a smooth process of installation and training to improve the customer experience.
- Continually reinforce and improve personal experience and knowledge of operation, chemistry / lab, hardware, troubleshooting, and procedures.
- Use universal precautions for handling of blood-borne pathogens at all times.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interfacing with the customer and distribution teams.
- Understand the company’s quality system and follow all applicable procedures. Inform supervisor of deficiencies in procedures when found.
- Grow the reagent business by introducing and closing on new assays and products to customers. Reduce attrition of installed base by remaining in close contact with current customers and associated distribution teams.
- Maintain all AW property in accordance with safety and published guidelines including : demo equipment, computers, telephone & accessories, fleet vehicle.
- Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills. Highly self-motivated and goal oriented. Good PC skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.)
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in the Life Science, Business, or related field. Ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in capital equipment sales and prior experience managing distribution networks.
- Must be able to push, pull, and move a minimum of 200 pounds as necessary (for demo analyzer) and drive own vehicle.
- May be exposed to biohazardous materials including bloodborne pathogens requiring protective equipment that conforms to OSHA regulations
