JOB SUMMARY : The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating packaging designs for the various products Excell Marketing, L.

C. produces and assists in various marketing communication activities, including coordination with vendors and suppliers.

Graphic Design

• Design packaging for retail sales
• Creates layout and copy editing for various marketing brochures, sales presentations in print and digital media
• Designs and layout of point of purchase signage and display coordinating with various retailer requirements
• Works with industry manufacturers to secure required graphic elements (logos, character art, etc.) and to gain written art approval when needed from various licensees
• Works with Graphic Design Manager & Marketing Manager to deliver final art to production vendors and see projects through the production phase
• Creates and design of new products for retail sale
• Maintains quality and consistent design

Web Initiatives

• Update and maintain websites
• Communicate with promotional participants and online customers in customer service capacity
• Update and maintain corporate website and social media presence

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment preferred.
• Outstanding design and visual skills
• Ability to contribute creative, innovative ideas and solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail, superior communication and follow-up skills adapted for internal and external communication.
• Ability to work in a team environment with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
• Ability to multi-task projects to meet deadlines, anticipate issues, self-start priority projects and provide creative solutions.
• Display a professional and pleasant demeanor in dealing with co-workers, suppliers and customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel and PowerPoint tools.
• Demonstrated understanding of typography, layout, color and user experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills and ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to collaborate with other disciplines and integrate related services into implementation
• Display a professional and pleasant demeanor in dealing with co-workers, suppliers and customers

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS : The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions.

The position also requires frequent repetitive motion activities. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy.

Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature.

INTELLECTUAL / EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS : The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure.

The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

This position requires the ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others.

It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise.
