The Scrum Master, reporting to the Director of IT, will facilitate agile processes, coach teams on Scrum principles, and remove obstacles to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements
Core Functions & Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments
- Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint / release progress
- Maintain process documentation
- Ensure the development teams are abiding by the SAFe Lean-Agile Principles and Core Values of transparency, alignment, respect for people and relentless improvement.
Assist as needed with backlog maintenance and preparation for quarterly PI Planning.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs
- Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
- Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions
- Empower the team to self-organize
- Participate proactively in developing an Agile Centre of Excellence
- Identify knowledge gaps and educate project leadership and development team to close these gaps
Required Skills, Abilities, and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, IT, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification. SAFe® Scrum Master preferred is a plus.
- 2+ years of Scrum Master experience.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Healthcare or staffing industry experience is a plus.
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge and SAFe experience are a plus.
- Proven experience leading teams as a servant leader using Agile techniques.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Strong collaboration, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiar with agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Boards) and metrics.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and adaptability.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Empathetic, collaborative, and results-oriented under pressure.
Work Schedule
In-office with flexibility to work from home with manager approval.
