Responsibilities

Dietitian, Part-Time

We are seeking a candidate for the role of Dietitian to provide support to food service operations at two of our faciliities : The Lakes of Clermont and The Club at Lake Gibson (Lakeland).

Responsibilities include :

• Ensure quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner
• Interact with other departments to ensure safe and superior food service and delivery and nutritional care of residents
• Perform associate, resident, and community education as needed, desired
• Review care of residents for the purpose of determining nutritional needs, appropriate plan of care, and minimizing nutritional complications
• Ensure implementation of menus and appropriate preparation of menu items using standardized recipes in compliance with regulations and therapeutic diet orders
• Maintain timely resident charting per regulations
• Ensure preparation of menu items in compliance with OBRA and Title 22 regulations and with therapeutic diet orders
• Provide support and oversight to Food Service Department operations
• Participate in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Dietitian with an unencumbered, current license to practice in Florida .
• Must meet any state and / or federal requirements of the position.
• Maintains required & appropriate certifications.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to facility residents, families and government regulators, and to work cooperatively with other employees at all levels.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work on-site in numerous facilities
• Must meet all local health regulations. This requirement also includes criminal background, investigation, and reference inquiry.
• Must exhibit effective language, skills, and ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures.
