QUALIFICATIONS :
- B.S.degree in engineering natural science or equivalent technicaldiscipline
- Ability to apply statisticalmethodology to process control and problemsolving
- Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeProducts
- Experience with statistical softwaresystems; Minitab experience ispreferred
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Monitorincoming raw material properties
- Monitor andadjust anode recipe based on raw materials and operationalfactors
- Collect analyze and report operatingdata identifying trends and opportunities forimprovement
- Based off data propose and executeexperiments to improve anode quality and / or reducecosts
- Constantly strive to improve the qualityand consistency of the green anode through processoptimization
- Working with production operatorsthe candidate will review update and as necessary develop SafeOperating Procedures
- Monitor coordinate andprovide technical support for process / productioncontrol / reliability of the greenmill
- Identifies equipment improvement projectsand work flow improvements
- Lead or contributeto problem solving / troubleshooting process disruptions asneeded
- Back fill for area supervisor asneeded
- Performs other related responsibilitiesas required or directed within the Electrodedepartment
