Position Summary : Oversight of all aspects of program operations, providing residential services to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorder and / or mental illness.
Position Responsibilities :
Hiring, training, and supervision of program staff to meet program goals and objectives in accordance with Missions, Inc.
personnel policies; coordinate staffing schedule to ensure 24-hour coverage.
- Coordinate orientation and ongoing in-service training for all program personnel.
- Program services coordination including screening or consultation on all admissions, determination of all discharges and individual counseling for 80 residents.
- Development of program written materials including preparation of program proposal materials in accordance with funding source guidelines.
- Participation in the preparation of program annual budget and administration of the program in accordance with approved budget.
- Coordination of facility upkeep to ensure program meets all applicable health and safety standards.
- Oversee program data collection system and ensure timely completion of program reports.
- Liaison to referents, community agencies, local government entities and appropriate substance use disorder organizations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all residents in accordance with confidentiality laws.
- Maintain ethical boundaries and professional conduct in all interactions with residents.
- Uphold the policies and procedures of the program and Missions Inc.
- Coordination of services with other Missions Inc. programs including participation in monthly management meetings.
- Work cooperatively with other Program Directors and Managers as part of the Management Team.
- Responsible for understanding and implementing program requirements, ensuring compliance and delivering results for county contracts and grants.
Position Qualifications :
I. Education and Experience
- Minimum of two-years of experience in substance use disorder field
- LADC training or degree in a related field such as social work, counseling, or human services.
- Minimum of two years personnel supervision experience.
II. Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with federal, state, county, and local funding sources and have experience with contract management of public and private funding sources.
- Knowledge of available resources for those with substance use disorder and mental illness, including permanent or long-term supportive housing resources.
- Understanding of budgetary operations, fiscal management procedures and data collection procedures.
- Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.
- Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), database (electronic health record system) and Adobe proficient.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse workforce.
III. Other Requirements
- Valid Minnesota driver license and an insurable driving record approved by the Missions Inc. insurance carrier is required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to lift and / or carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and climb (ascend and descend) flights of stairs.
- Other lifting or physical requirements as added from time to time, or as required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Salary and Benefits :
- Salary range : $70,000 $82,000 / annual depending on qualifications & experience
