Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the purchasing specialist is
to acquire all the company’s various supplies (raw materials MRO) negotiates the company’s purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and product meet the company’s specification, maintaining accurate and acceptable levels of all inventories.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
Identify suppliers of goods and services
Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, dealing, expectation etc..
Creating purchase orders and ensuring pricing is correct.
Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.
Monitor tooling inventory to ensure die flow of goods remain positive.
Possible small translation (Japanese to English) (English to Japanese)
Communicate with departments and managers on inventory levels and locations
Participates in 5s, safety, training, and continuous improvement activities in their department
Ensure all purchase orders are accurate and sent on time
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Experience with PLEX preferred
Strong knowledge of industry and market conditions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent negotiation and problem solving
Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
Able to travel and meet venders / suppliers as necessary
Helpful If able to translate (Japanese to English) (English to Japanese)
