We are seeking a talented Scientist / Sr Scientist with hands-on experience in LC-MS / MS to support our bioanalytical and drug metabolism / pharmacokinetics (DMPK) efforts.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in method development, operating / trouble shooting LC-MS / MS systems and a solid understanding of bioanalytical techniques and DMPK principles.
This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- LC-MS / MS Operation : Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot LC-MS / MS systems for quantitative analysis of biological samples
- Sample Analysis : Perform bioanalytical assays including sample preparation, extraction, and quantitation using LC-MS / MS
- Method Development : Development and optimization of bioanalytical methods for the drug and metabolite quantification in biological matrices and transfer methods to CROs, when needed
- Data Analysis and Visualization : Analyze and interpret data from LC-MS / MS experiments. Chart and graph concentration versus time data using appropriate computer applications (e.
g., Excel, GraphPad Prism, WinNonlin) to generate clear, accurate, and interpretable visual representations of results. Presentation of data to cross functional teams / research meeting
- Documentation : Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and instrument performance
- Compliance : Ensure all work adheres to regulatory guidelines and company SOPs and help develop BA SOPs internally.
- Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (DMPK / Chemistry / formulation / CMC) and external partners (CROs, Consultants / contractors) to support project goals and contribute to study design and execution.
Required Qualifications :
BS (+7-10 years’ experience), Master’s (+6 years’ experience) or PhD (+3 years’ experience) working in a discovery setting using LC-MS / MS within a pharmaceutical / biotechnology company.

- Broad experience in small molecule, biomarkers as well as drug candidate bioanalytical method development / sample analysis in different biological matrices using LC-MS / MS
- Excellent written, verbal communications and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external partners in a matrix environment (CROs, Consultants
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with H / UPLC and mass spectrometry
- Extensive experience with sample analysis to support PK, PK / PD, PK / efficacy, and drug metabolism assays, nonGLP TK analysis
- Experience with AB Sciex mass spectrometry software
- Experience with maintaining detailed up to date raw data and lab notebooks with all relevant documentation and electronic files

The salary range for this position is $ 130,000 USD to $140,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
This position is located in South San Francisco, CA and employees are expected to be onsite Tuesday-Thursday.* At this time we are not considering remote applicants.
