JOB TITLE : UX Researcher II LOCATION : Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA DURATION : 12 months with potential to extend RATE RANGE : $54-64 / hour TOP 3 SKILLS : Experience moderating user research sessions and usability testing Experience turning qual and quant data into actionable insights Working with a diverse set of stakeholders SUMMARY : UXR will interact directly with game / app-development teams, turning their needs and goals into research plans which will usually be usability tests / playtests, but sometimes surveys, and result in a better understanding of consumer needs and the user journey.
For playtests, they will manage them wholly : writing the plan, working with recruiting to find the right participants, moderating the study, and synthesizing and presenting the findings.
For surveys, they will also manage them from end to end : writing them, programming them in our client's internal tools or Qualtrics, pulling potential respondents in SQL (or purchasing them from a vendor), and analyzing the data in R or SPSS (support for this will be available) and writing the report.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Actively collecting data Focusing on different parts of the study Interaction with the team as SME Some stakeholder interactions Being able to execute research on time and reports being clear and actionable QUALIFICATIONS : Top 3 Non-Negotiable Skills : Experience moderating user research sessions and usability testing Experience turning qual and quant data into actionable insights Working with a diverse set of stakeholders Bachelors is required, preferably in Psychology or Sociology, any degree plus user research experience (5 years) Nice to have / Preferred skills : Video game user research experience Survey writing expertise Experience working in entertainment, media, or music publishing industries Understanding of research agency landscape, especially agencies specializing in the entertainment / media research space App development user research VR user research experience Passion for video games and / or VR is sought, but not required Experience with analysis and data modeling in R or SPSS IND123
